I mean...yeah....I could always do upgrades later on, but then it ends up costing alot more than just building up a KA and turboing it. I mean...if I could get ahold of an SR longblock, with full harness, etc. for $500 (like I can with the KA), then I'd be interested in building up the SR.....but why pay like $2500 for something you are going to have to buy a different turbo, injectors, FMIC, etc...etc... for??
that just my opinion.

again its all in preferance. I like smooth high winding engines. but because of costs I was going to go low budget KAT but the oppertunity arrived to do the SR instead and I took it. and now wouldnt trade it for anything. I've ridden in similar power level KAT andenjoy the way it feels to but for "only" 205 hp I love my current setup. but dollar for dollar MOST people would spend about the same on either setup. someone who cant put together their own turbo kit for the KA is going to spend what close to 4grand on one of the xs enginerring/nsport/fmax turbo kits plus whatever install costs run? and be putting out on average what 230hp? do any of those kits come with bigger injectors? that also doesnt include your guages and any engine problems or tranny problems your still stuck with. for aabout that much you can do the SR with requisite boltons and be doing about the same hp levels and get a whole new engine and tranny. plus the ability to recoup some of the cost (i.e. selling you the KA for 500 bucks <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

'> and other misc. parts to people) and yes theres downsides to both. you could get a lemon SR (but if you shopped smart no company should let you get stuck with a lemon) or you could fire up your brand new KAT only to find the engine wasnt strong enough to take forced induction and goes boom before you get around the block. its all about your choices.
