The AIV (adjusting idle valve or something) is located in the engine compartment, on the passenger side, towards the end of the block (near the firewall), as far as I know. If I am wrong, please, correct me.
It is quite hidden, you have to look for it to see it. I also want to re-ground that and to clean it, I think I found some guidance on the 240sx.org in the FAQ section. I just wait to have some time to look into this.
