Ah, sometimes I miss real winters.  I used to live in upstate NY.  I'd get rid of my GTI, get an old Impreza L 2.2, throw on a rack of driving lights rally-style and get a set of Nokians or other trick snow tires.  Then go drift around the snowplows.
