Driven a WRX, a damn fun car, plus very roomy in it's sport wagon layout (for better or worse). It does lack the rwd factor. . . Nothing can beat it once you learn it. As samiam said, everybody's different. Go test drive them.

damn, I wish I had a choice like that. . . If my dad offered to buy me a car in those price ranges, I'd be able to cover the rest and get myself a 350z without trouble.  My parents pay for next to nothing, and I love them for it. Financial independence kicks ass :-)

Oh, make sure to track insurance rates and whatnot, unless your dad covers that too.
