all engines create pressure in crankcase, mod'd engines even more, and will spit oil and oil fumes out anywhere it can. if u have a valve cover breather that may be the easiest place to exit. you cant stop it, so you put a tube on the breather fitting and run it DOWN (gravity) to a "catch can" of some sort.....lots of racers use old brake fluid cans etc. you empty it when it fills up!
