It could be your iacv valve iirc. I think that is the correct name. The valve controls the air coming in at idle. What you need to do is loosen the tube going to the valve, start the car, have some one keep it running, pull tube off, spray about half a can of intake cleaner down the tube, re-attach tube end to cold pipe.

Are you using a wideband o2 sensor monitor or just the regular af o2 gauge? The later is useless.

Replacing that temp sensor is always a good idea. It can only help but I believe it has nothing to do with your problem.
