Pretty much just cosmetics and to do something because it just interests me. My car already has a not actual mileage title and I don't give fuck about legality of the odometer being wrong. Infact, it hasn't been registered in over a year.

As far as your second paragraph... some people like doing shit just because they want to see if it can be done. I think you'd have to be that kind of person to understand, otherwise it just seems pointless. Sort of like aero, stretched tires, and other such stuff to myself... I don't get it, but I can respect it.
