Hey! This is my first post here. I'm having a problem with my '89 240.
She doesn't want to start sometimes. The starter motor will turn over, and I'm getting spark and fuel, but the engine just won't catch and run. The starter will keep turning until the battery dies, but the motor just won't start. The car has over 200,000 miles on it, and I just replaced the fuel pump, but that didn't solve the problem. I also replaced the fuel filter.
But it only does this occasionally. If I let her sit all day, then come home from work, she will start right up. Other times, she won't start at all. I can also roll her and pop the clutch, and she starts that way. I'm going nuts trying to figure this out. Does the 240 SX have any inherent problems that I should know about?
