the Veilside R34 was dynoed at 1460bhp stock block
once nissan tested the RB26 and found that 1600bhp was the absolute limit before the engine block started to crack itself, and it was impossible to get much more out of it.
as far as nascar goes. I personally don't like it. "c'mon boys lets go fast and turn left"
although fast and in that respect dangerous, it lacks skill so nascar effectively fails against all motorsports including autocross and cart racing
