lol at this thread
Of course you can't update a Bikirom Megaboard in realtime, it's just a daughterboard that you can flash via USB. If it takes your tuner hours upon hours to tune a MAF based Nissan at WOT then you are getting ripped off. It should take anywhere from 3-10 pulls to get WOT fueling and timing set(10 being very very conservative on the max number). It usually takes me around 3-4.
I will admit the Bikisoft software is a bit annoying how he keeps updating the UI without fixing small bugs, but there is NOTHING unreliable about the board. I've had one of the first production runs and my car has never had an issue related to the board that would prevent it from running. It always loads a file, and then after that it's just like a daughterboard running on the stock ECU - nothing to it.
The datalogging and maptrace is pretty good compared to a regular Consult feed, and it tells you a lot more having graphs and saving the maptrace than just looking at a Consult feed playing or trying to correlate that to where you are in the maps(on any of the Consult display programs I've seen).
I do think he raised the price a little high on it given that he hasn't met many of his lofty goals he set for it, but it's a nice tool if you've got a clue about tuning your stock ECU. If you're just getting someone else to tune your stock ECU, then a cheap daughterboard will probably be cheaper initially, but if you think flashing a Bikirom over USB is slow... wait until you've got your tuner popping out the EEPROMs and making changes in between runs... hahaha
Megasquirt and TEC3's suck compared to the Bikirom Megaboard besides them being MAP based IMO.
