One piece of information is that for some KA's, there is a terminal idle problem, where it will not settle down and idle off like that. There are a lot of checks though, you can check out your plugs, plug wires, vacuum lines, the idle sensor on the side of the intake plenum, check the wiring near the area where you were washing. Break it down, is it electrical, vacuum or fuel? If things are dry and somewhat clean, then it may be vacuum or fuel. If the vacauum lines seem pretty decent, then I'd move on to possibly the fuel delivery?
