Not in the short term... you won't blow up the transmission. In the long term, though, the higher pressures and temperatures in the transmission are bad for it and will wear parts faster. It's probably not a good idea to drive the car every day like that. But, once in a while when you're at the dragstrip won't hurt it too much.
