The cold air intake isn't a problem in snow or rain. Even the cold air extension is OK, as long as it's not submerged in water. Make sure you get a K&N filter and DEFINITELY buy the cleaner and the oil--it's made especially for repelling moisture so it doesn't go into your engine. The oil is a definite necessity.
