Although i HIGHLY recomend Seafoam, i don't personally use it in my crankcase at all. If you do decide to use it in the crankcase, follow the directons EXACTLY.

Done it multiple times on multiple cars and never experienced anything bad. Do it to my 240 every 3k-3.5k or so and still nothing bad. My car pulls very nice for being unmodified. I do maybe 2 or 3 wide open throttle pulls from 40-70mph and then head back home to change my oil and filter immediately after letting it cool down. I don't drive my car for more than 10 min. on the stuff and do it when smoke is at it's lowest for less attention.
