That's just the habit I've gotten into w/ all of my cars. I had a Geo that I changed the oil in every 2k-2500 miles because it would be black by then. So, just for peace of mind, I kept doing that on the next 2 cars. I try to take extra special care of my S14, so I make sure she gets all of her maintenance early. I've had a lot of work done to her, so I'm just trying to take that extra step in babying her and keeping her very clean and well-lubed
