um i'm sorry. i think i do know what i am dealing with. i have been building cars for 3 years. i just havent done a 240 yet. i am gonna take a guess and say the stock gas tank weighs around 30 lbs and holds 12 gal. now say each gal weighs 10 lbs thats 150 lbs for gas and tank. now take a 8 gal fuel cell that weighs 10 lbs and only holds 80 worth of liquid. thats a huge weigth saving plus i can run bigger lines to and from my motor. i will need that inda flow to support 550 hp without spraying. ye si have a fully built ca18 engine with a t04r turbo. on a 60-1 it dynoed 480ish on a stock head. i have since ported it al out and added tomei 270 cams to match and hks valve springs. the car is a full track and show car.
for mounting the cell in the trunk whats wrong with putting it in the spare tire aera. its still gonna be low enough and then you have the weigh savings. all i wanted to know was should i run the lines in teh cabin(which kinda scares me incase one burst) or under the car into the engine bay. thanks
