In regards to people like Jim Jones, I think he fits into a "swagger" category

Guys like him, Mike Jones, Lil Jon, etc

They are all rappers that don't have lyrical value but still strong on swagger and for that reason you find yourself cranking all their songs at full volume rapping along with the chorus
