Vladmir Putin was head of the KGB. He has repeatedly said he would like to bring Russia back to Soviet era power and made hostile statements towards the U.S. Oh wait I forgot you only read conspiracy theory websites on the internet and don't watch international news.
Sure the Russian people like the Americans they actually did back in the days of the Soviet Union. How do I know this? My sister went to the Soviet Union back when she was in college at U.C. Berkeley in the 80's. Why? She was a history major.
Now the Russian Goverment on the other hand has quite often been a bird of a different feather. While Gorbachev and Yeltsin courted the United States, Putin unlike the glasnost period has acted against the U.S. internationally and verbally lashed out with hostile words hinting towards a new cold war. This is not American propaganda this is straight up reported facts in international news aka BBC and whatnot.
Now you can keep on believing your crack smoking ideas about the U.S. government being completely evil and subverting the citizenry. While not perfect its far from the truth. Bush is an idiot and has lied on some stuff, but to say our whole government is propagandizing us with anti American conspiracies aka Red Scare at this point in time is both ignorant and unintelligent on your part.
The Red Scare days were in the 50's and early 60's. Sorry but I was not born in the 50's and to young to care in the 60's.
Ya Bush pushed the whole WMD thing so he could justify Iraq but that is hardly hardcore propaganda. It was not right and a lot of us called bullshit on it from the get go. But to just blindly say our Government is Red scare style propagandizing us these days is pure ignorance.
