Besides; "In School Suspension" is some shit they do when they're too puss to actually SUSPEND a child from school, instead corralling them into one place sequestered from the rest of their classes as some form of punishment. Usually, this is done after school, and is manned by the teacher that assigns it (at least in NC that is how it goes, according to this girl I am kinda seeing)... Some form of acting out should have been expected from a student in this particular situation, one might call it a case of the cows coming to pasture.
If only people would take to beating their kids at home, teachers MIGHT not have to.
