ugh, I've had the same happen to me more than once where I live, which is also not a bad area. I've never had anything stolen. I've had the windows smashed 3 times on my 240, and twice on my previous civic. Like your case, only 1 window, and nothing inside stolen.
Also, the fact that only 1 window (instead of all) prob means it was an accident, or the person who did it was a pansy, maybe a pissed off neighbor. Neighbors can pretty much take offense to anything they perceive to be an issue. Maybe they *think* you drive too fast, it's too loud, they don't like the way it looks, etc.
One time is one too many, but you should be very concerned if it happens again. there's only so much you can do about something like this, unless you install a camera somewhere.
