The tea should have been well beyond evaporated by then... How do they know she never finished it? Tea leaves would have settled and withered to dust. About the only proof they might have is that there was a discolored ring around the tea cup, but even that isn't solid evidence IMO :P

42 years and no one found her by the smell, lack of presence, lack of paying bills, etc? Hell, if someone in the US doesn't pay a bill, there are collectors banging on the door every other day, phone ringing off the hook. I mean seriously, its not like someone can live off the radar so long as to never be found for 42 years. Something about this story isn't stirring the koolaid.
