if it just rattles on startup for a few seconds, youll be fine for a long time. i think its just your timing tensioner building oil pressure slower than it used to. now you know you have problems when you hear something like marbles full time. this is when you must do the timing set, as well as drop the pan to clean out the pieces of timing guide LOL


but i recommend changing the timing set now. get rid of the annoying rattle, change out the old chain guides, and this way you wont have to clean the pan out later!
