I agree that he possesses great knowledge of the S13. However, you're both omitting three key features of the electric fans.

1. They only come on when needed (hot) so they don't sap power all day long.
2. They don't sound retarded like a big truck fan.
3. They free up TONS of room in front of your engine.

Add to that the fact that it's hard to get an intact fan shroud, and it's not such a bad idea. I love my fans, and I wouldn't get rid of them simply because Koguchi says that the mechanical fan "works well".
