Pluto didnt really go missing... just that we found more shit waaay out there and needed a new definition of "planet." The Discovery of Eris introduced the class "Dwarf Planet" and Pluto happen to fit that defintion with its size, mass, and offset orbit. We kicked Pluto out like a dirty whore.
