I'm not a suspension geometry expert but if the tension rod doesn't bind with the change in angle, it should be fine.

Well I was semi-kidding, but about 2-3cm would be nice. Thanks for the info, I've been looking into adjustable FLCA, not sure what I'll go with yet.
