I don't expect anyone outside of WI to truly understand how important Packers football is to most people in WI.
Seriously, the Packers had a SCRIMMAGE yesterday at Lambeau. IT WAS SOLD OUT. Some teams don't have regular season games that are sold out. Many people here in WI don't ever even get to go to a game at Lambeau. The waiting list for season tickets right now on average is 30 years. I'm not joking even a little tiny bit. So you either have to know someone who will sell you some of their season tickets or you pay an arm and a leg for tickets through some ticket place.
I happen to be one of the lucky people that know people that have tickets. He's very old and doesn't go so his kids (who are in their 50's) sell us tickets to THREE games a year. I've been going to three games a year now for the last 5-6 years.
The first time I walked up to Lambeau field was an amazing experience. I almost shed a tear and I had goose bumps.
Yes...the Packets are actually that serious ti WI.
