I've been running 225/50/16s pretty much the whole time I've had the stockers on my car (had a set of 17x7 on for about a year) no problems. for under 80 bucks? check out Kumhos 711s and Yokohamas AVS ES100s both were good to my never got to autocross the yoks but I drive pretty aggressively on the streets and they served me well. very predictable breakaway I really liked them. I got a better deal on my new 712s and so far I like them too. but I've only had them a week so I'll give better impressions later
