[Dirty Habit]

I picked up an alternator off a guy who said it was from a 95 motor. Ive been having engine trouble, mainly cooling since I installed the engine (ka). It just now dawned on me that the alternator may be from a 93. Im guessing my engine problems may be stemming from this.
Resulting problems/complcations??
I never looked at my 93 ka's (previous engine) alternator that hard and really didnt think to inspect the one the guy gave before I installed it. It whined a bit at first but I figured it was because it had sat for little while.
Ideas?
