i've been looking for a hemi dart to use as a daily driver. these are all 340's, i'm sure. but i'd go for a 318 or even a slant six.. the 225 gets shockingly good gas mileage.
this one is mine. it's a '67 Ford Galaxie 500XL convertible. it has a 390ci v8 with a three speed auto on the floor. if i don't find a Dart to clean up for daily driving purposes by winter, i'll finish up this instead as my winter project. it needs a couple things to run properly and be a good weekend cruiser (at 18 feet long i wouldn't dream of daily driving it, although my dad did back in the 80's). it needs a new fuel line from the tank to the pump. i put in a new pump and it'll run off a beer bong i rigged up, but rats ate the line. i found a preserved rat in the gas tank when i cleaned it out and resealed it, as well. the interior is almost mint, the top is perfect. the paint is flaking in a few spots, and there's some very light rust forming on the rockers and around the rear wheel wells, but again, it's VERY LIGHT, no holes, just surface rust from what i've seen. this is a very solid car and damn near perfect, just needs some freshening up.
