when you say mechanical, I assume you mean helical... is that right? gear-type LSD is helical. Clutch type is... wel, clutch type. Nismo SSS is 1.5-way and 2-way adjustable (choose your way! ) clutch type, not helical.
I think helical LSDs are by definition 1.5 way, although someone may have to clarify that for me/you.
