whoah whoah whoah killer.
let's go hit the dyno, see who's making more power, but with those same upgrades on an SR. who will win? SR. ( Disregard the fact that now I'm running the S15 Spec R turbo ) Even when I was running the s14 t28 on a stock SR w/ SMIC, no exhaust upgrade AND no other modification, who's gonna win vs. current CA? You guessed correctly. SR! CA parts can be bought at auto zone, not because of the non turbo CA, but due to the fact that autozone KNOWS that they wouldn't be able to make any money off of SR parts. Why? you may ask? Because they are expecting CA's to break down and need part replacement every 5 seconds. (that was a joke, but a good analogy.)
NEXT off, I didn't know that you could buy any of the above parts that you purchased for you're CA (except for the oil and water pumps) at auto zone. They sell S14 turbos now? and FMIC's, ARP Rod, flywheel, and head bolts?
I didn't need a new oil or water pump when I bought my swap, and when phil, after two years, needed a new water pump, he got it for cheap!!!!!! and waited how long for shipping? or did he just go to the dealership?

In conclusion, all of the parts that you have thrown into you're CA were strongly recommended and a good choice due to the fact that if you buy a CA, it may be cheap, but that swap ain't gonna last long without all the modification. (Just look at Christian's CA)

You pay for what you get.

P.S. You're head is "better"?
Shit I spent one hundred dollars on rocker arm stoppers. Will I have any floaters? Doubt it, but if I do I will go solid lifters and destroy the head of that CA.

SR20DET>CA18DET
(P.S.S. SR's became trendy due to the fact that they are one of the best options you have for making a 240 drift ready, definitely a better option than a CA. If you want to go unique status, make it all polished, get some carbon, chrome purple, and call it a day. Wait shit that's already been done. Still bad ass, but the next trendstarter?)

Wait...
As well... CA's aren't trendy due to the fact that they are almost all blown, destroyed, and in trash cans all across america, japan, (and even canada).

SR's are more expensive and more popular why? Because they are more reliable and powerful, and they are a choice of keeper to anyone who owns one.

<3 You Tom.
