Have we become the forum for posting pointless, stupid drivel? I don't see anything on here anymore except useless stories that absolutely no one gives a flying fuck about.

You dealt with an asshole when buying a car. You want a medal for it? In the last five years nearly anyone who has bought a 240 has had the exact same story. Most of them though don't waste bandwidth to tell about it. Hell, some of them even buy/sell to other members but they don't write research papers detailing the episode.
