When reassembling the front strut, how is the upper spring seat (tophat) oriented in relation to the strut itself. My crappy Chilton manual says the small notch in the upper seat faces the OUTSIDE of the car. this seams to really skew the spring when assembled. When the notch faces the inside it appears that the seats line up better.
Can anybody tell me for sure? RDM you out there? Thanks.

BTW putting GF210s on AGXs.
