You may just want to always push the clutch all the way in and start it. I always do it on my Civic SI and my '93 240sx se its just what I was taught when I was learning to drive stick. So technicly you dont have to automaticly but its a good idea. Oh and be sure its not in gear unless on hill or so forth. Use E-brake too.

But like I said its just how I was taught and you dont have to use my advice but I always feel its better for my 240
