It's pretty obvious what this owner did was blatanlty disregard the expressed warranty.
He deserves what he get's (or in this case what he doesn't get) plain and simple.
Ever own a Subaru? They have pretty retarded warranties too, but you learn to deal with them. If they have reason to believe that anything you did you your car caused the problem, then you're pretty well screwed.
