Check ALL fuses and the relays that are under the hood.
Now look around for wires that might be shorting.
My car had a big one under the relay/fuses under my airbox. It had corroded, arced and burnt up half the fuse box when i bought the car.
clean things up if they arent already, so you can see in the engine area better.
