the thing about the 1.6L engine is that it is supposed to have not only variable valve timing but also a variable crankshaft. at light load, boost is turned down and compression is raised. at heavy load compression is lowered and boost is turned up. 250 horse when you want it and 35mpg when you need it. all in a car that will most likely weigh in around 2900-3000lbs. sign me up.
