that GT will handle like ass (live axle, heavy, etc). and yes, the 03 Cobras are badass, but they are NOT balanced (weight distribution isn't very good), even though they do handle well.

are you that ignorant? get an SR swap, spend $1900 on a turbo kit, and you'll be making as much power to the wheels as that mustang is making at the crank, and you'll be 700 lbs lighter than him. and you'll still have 10 grand to spend on other stuff.

has he changed his speedo gear? i doubt you were accelerating like you think you were. if you were really going 140 you'd have been in 5th and in top gear (overdrive) you're going to accelerate enough to push you in your seat. my dad has a Porsche 944 turbo with mild bolt-ons (intake, MAFS, chipset (including higher boost), full exhaust) that would crush that GT (makes similar power but weighs 400-500 lbs less).
