This is correct. Never bypass a fuse. When the fuse is blowing, there is a reason why.

Most likely you have a faulty ground, or a short in the left front fender harness. Check those two first and look for broken wires.

A broken wiper motor would not break the fuse unless there is a short in the ground wire.
