I'd get a "Welded" DYNOMAX UltraFlow; $65.00 muffler. You'll like the exhaust note, and you can paint it BBQ high temp flat black to match the rest of the underneith of the car. This is a straight through muffler with stainless steel roving mesh for sound supression. Large enough to not be loud and supress axhaust drone noise. Then add a tip of choice. I personaly would add a single 3"to 4" tip from the material the shop makes your piping. Paint it all black and have a real sleepy looking car.
If you want shiny and like to clean your muffler alot, get the UltraFLow Stainless Steel version; $103.00. Both sound the same. Deep and toned to perfection.
Make sure you get 2.25" - 2.5" piping made from your catalytic back. Also don't dare pay more than $100 for the job. MY favorite Exhaust place is MIDAS. You'd be suprised what they can do with raw piping.
So far you are in the hole $165.00 - $203.00. If the muffler is too loud, which it should not be, then add a presilencer. A round welded Dyno max ultraflow just after the cat; $40.00. Now your in the $200.00 range. Still under any namebrand price.

Whatever you do , stay away from MAGNAFLOW, Edelbrock, and flowmaster. Those are some loud MO FO mufflers. I've had all 3 on various cars. Something I pay close attention to is exhaust note.
A nice tip....
520-2209 2.25" to 4" 10" long or..
520-22010 2.5" to a 4" 10" long
both are resonated $31.99 Resonated will quiet it down even more.
DO some measurements of your stock system first to see if you can hold that much length of yip and muffler. I'd say 2" past the bumper, so 8"of tip and 14" of muffler = 22" almost 2 feet.
I'm a stickler for detail when it comes to exhaust. And yes I sound like a dynomax REP., but I have tried so many mufflers, and the DYNOMAX always sounds better, and is cheap.
