Just as a heads up smogging can be a real pain in the butt if your car has never been through one. I tried to bring a truck over from texas a few years back and they wouldn't smog it because it didn't pass a "visual". It might be a good idea to go to one of the smog stations and have your car "pre-smogged" so you don't have something unexpected happen.
But yeah if your car passes smog then all you have to do is take your certificate to the DMV and register it.
