I have only had a years experience, but i'm a natural at it. I can mig and arc weld good, but don't have the funds to buy myself a tig welder.
I plan to try my hand at fixing myself a turbo header just to see if I could do it. I don't know if I would do a log type or an actual long curved out header. I like welding, it's pretty simple after awhile. Sad to hear about your cracked header, have any pics of the damage? Is it repairable? Did he arc, tig, or mig that puppy? His welds might have been to light and weak (that's why I want to see some pics). Sometimes that stuff just happens though (not to me, knock on wood).
