The reason why it would be a good idea to have a hub lock and not leave your hub exposed, is because you are not the only one with a quick release!!! if you leave your hub exposed and i know what kind of quick release your running, i can just bring my own steering wheel with the same quick release and pop into your car and drive away with a big grin!!!
