Wheels a rubbin

I have 17x10.5's up front.. I'm having bad issues with wheels rubbing the fender tubs. Anyone have a good method of detecting the problem spots fast? I plan on finding (if i can) some chalk spray paint and spraying the whole fender well on driver and passenger side. Then taking the car out for a spin to find out exactly where the wheels are rubbing... Then of course bang the unchalked areas out like hell with a hammer.

Any other methods recommended besides trying to be Kewl and build fender tubs?
