Hey what's up guys?
I've been into the import scene since around 7th grade haha, I started out at the total opposite of where I wanted to start. My first "vehicle" was a KLR 650 haha. So after tooting around on an enduro for a year and a half I decided enough was enough and to scratch my itch for a nice 240. So after selling my 650, I looked around on clist and picked up an s14 with a 130k on the dash for 3k. It was pretty, only downer was it had an AT tranny and a couple dings here and there, but I finally had the car I wanted. Well let's fast foward to 2 weeks ago, after going to visit my grandparents I hop in the car with my GF and head back towards Esco.
We are heading down 15N by the Rancho Bernardo exit and this asshole in a 1-800-Rentarv RV decided he would just come over into my lane with no signal or anything, well out of instinct I hit the brakes and stupid me forgot I had no ABS, so the tires lock and I slide left then jerk right into the RV. No one was hurt and I was furious at the RV's driver, he didn't check his blind spot and there was no signal and I had no way out other then to brake due to traffic around me.
Well luckily he was insured through the rental company, and the estimate for the damage of my car was more then the KBB on it. So it's totaled. Passenger side front is FUBARED, but at least the frame was unscathed.
I'm recieving around 6k for the settlement and with that I plan on bringing my baby back. Picking up a front clip from an S14 through Gspeed in LA, when I get my money and going from there.
But I'm new to the scene and any pointers would be gladly accepted. Like I said I cruise around Escondido in a black zenki with black se wheels, but for now I drive a New Yorker I'm borrowing
