Previous, the car was an automatic. A while back, we converted it into a 5 speed, using all the right parts. I was still using an AUTO ecu, with an AUTO TPS. I have dealt with all the codes I had previously thrown, but am now left with one - ECU Code 43, throttle position sensor. I have tried replacing the TPS with a BRAND NEW Manual TPS, but I still got the TPS code.

I recently have received a manual ECU (confirmed with JWT's ECU guide) to replace my AUTO ecu. I am still getting code 43.

Does having an AUTO TPS set off the CEL code? Is there anyway to bypass the TPS code, or do I have to try another manual TPS?

I do know that I SHOULD use a manual TPS, but frankly, money is tight.

The main reason for getting on this problem now is the fact I have an appointment with state ref because of my intake. Go figure.

ANY help will be greatly appreciated. Russ, almight 240sx God, it'd be awesome if you chimed in as well.

PS. Someone let me borrow a stock SOHC exhaust.
Get a volt/ohm meter & check for continuity and voltage between the ECU and the Throttle Position Sensor connector. Maybe you have a short in the wiring harness or ground somewhere for the TPS circuit. Looks like you're gonna have to pull out the wiring diagram from the Factory Service Manual to trace this problem down.

Hope this helps......Good luck!!!
