I say yes only if the material emailed is worthwhile. For example, if company 1 sold products x,y emails saying there is a buy one get one half off/free etc. on product X would be good.

Emails that say Product Y now in stock(unless it ran out) or something else that reminds you that company A carries product y I would say no to.

Perhaps a feature where you can choose which companies you want to send you mail would be nice as well.
