two ways to do it. One way: with the car up on jack stands, stick the jack or another stand under the control arm to keep it from moving, then knock the hell out of the bolt with your BFH (Big f***in Hammer) until it pops out. Or do all of the above except istead of hitting the stud use a tool called a ball joint remover or pickle fork. you hit it with a hammer to wedge it between the joint and the spindle to force the joint to release.
