Well, you're other option is to slot the coilover's lower bracket to let the wheel slide out a bit. Gheto but it works.
Anyways, stay away from MRs, they suck for wheel clearance. I had a set in my S14 in the states when I was running 17x10 +12 FN01s. Had to add 8mm spacers to barely clear them (still rubbed the spring, had to adjust it from time to time to let the lip sit between). On my current S14, im running 18x10 +18 Equips with no spacers on a set of Topline Aragostas. Got probably another 4mm of clearance.
