I myself have a S13 with remote start. If you take it to someone to install it (ie Best Buy, Car Toys, or most alarm place), they will not install it on a maual. NOT because it is hard, but it's a liability. They don't want to be resposible for damages if you remote start your car while in gear.
As for install, it's installed exactly the same as an automatic, except you will need to by-pass the clutch switch. (the switch is used for safety, requiring you to press on the clutch inorder to start so if you're in gear, the car won't leap forward or backwards.)
